HOW TO GERMINATE BASIL SEEDS?
Basil plants are summer season crop. It needs warm weather to grow. So, Basil will grow soon in the summer.
Basils can germinate in all the season and it depends upon the weather conditions of your region.
No need to soak Basil seeds in water overnight. Directly we can sow the seeds. But we should keep the seeds moist during the germination. When growing Basil as microgreens, You'll need to sprinkle seeds across the top of your growing medium (coco disc or potting soil). No need to dig hole and cover the soil.
It will take 2 to 3 days to germinate the sprout. You can observe in the coco disc after sowing the seeds.
Basils can grow indoor only in the germination period, later it needs complete sunlight. So place it where it can get the sunlight properly after the germination.
Basil microgreens do not need to be covered, they will germinate faster this way.

HOW TO TRANSPLANT BASIL MICROGREENS?
Basil Microgreens don't need any transplanting. When Basil is grown as a microgreen it will be harvested within 15-20 days, instead of growing into full-sized basil
Research shows that basil microgreens contain as much as 4-5 times the nutrients that mature basil does! Of course, to retain those nutrients you'll want to eat this raw.
Basil microgreens are surprisingly full of nutrients. They contain protein, vitamins E, A, K, B6, and C; as well as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, copper, phosphorous, and even potassium!

Watering depends on the weather. If you are using good quality potting mix then water the plants only when the top surface is completely dry. You can easily test the moisture in the potting mix by just inserting your finger into a corner of the pot.
But in usual cases:
Winter: Water once every 2 days
Summer: Water daily once or twice depending on how intense is the weather.

HOW TO HARVEST?
Basil is one of the slowest growing microgreens. The complete process can take up to 21 days, that's still a pretty short timeframe to get something from seed to plate.
Especially as basil microgreens are so nutritious!

After a few days, your basil sprouts will grow fully formed cotyledons (their baby set of leaves). You can harvest them at this point, or wait for few more days.
Then they will begin to form another set of "true leaves" which will be packed with basil flavor. So once the microgreens have 4 leaves (the 2 cotyledons, and the 2 true leaves) is when you can harvest them.
Simply cut the stem with scissors or knife, as close to the soil as possible and then garnish onto your plate.

You can store your microgreens for around 7-10 days, but the sooner you use them, the fresher and more flavorful they are.
Once you harvest your greens, don't rinse them until you're ready to use them. To store put them in a sealable container or a plastic bag and store in your refrigerator.
